LINER NOTES:
This is a very special record. It is filled with the kind of rare communication that is the result of an extraordinary musical rapport born from long hours of hard work and that magical spark which all too seldom occurs between individuals at an artistic level. The language is improvised music from the jazz tradition, creative music as the genre is called, to be more inclusive of the range of the music's expression and resources. And the music of this record sings with all the warmth, breadth, depth, and surprise of truly spontaneous creativity. Magic is the word to return to, the word that makes us happy or makes us laugh because it is unexpected. Here it is, fixed in plastic with a depth and intensity that is truly beyond words. What a wonderful introduction for Jane and Kent, two marvelous musicians and people. This is their music which they share with you.
